President Trump unleashed a torrent of falsehoods and baseless claims about mail voting and election security in last night's debate.
There's simply no evidence to back up Trump's claim that the election will have "fraud like you’ve never heard." https://t.co/f0JrOaiZqz

For nearly four years, we have been laser focused on November 3, 2020, the day that Donald Trump could be voted out of office. In all likelihood, however, the election will not be decided that evening as it has in the past (with the notable exception of the 2000 election). That is because in order to protect themselves against COVID-19, a record number of people will forego the polls and mail their ballots, which take longer to count.
More than six weeks after a bill was introduced to require vote-by-mail to be available for the November 3 elections, no federal steps have been taken to ensure a fair and free election in the shadow of a pandemic that threatens people’s ability to access the polls.
