A Hole In the Heart

Fatima al-Masri, one of the latest, smallest victims of Israel’s brutal apartheid regime, has died in Gaza after waiting five months for an Israeli permit allowing her to travel for treatment for a ventricular septal defect, a hole in her heart, diagnosed last year. She was 19 months old. “They kept saying (it) was under review, under review,” said her father. “I wish I had died as well.” Sentient beings blame a genocidal Israel: “(This is) how this regime operates; cruelly against everything Palestinian, including children.”
