McKibben’s excess of optimism and failure to challenge capitalism…//Yes in Our Backyards – Mother Jones

This article is of great interest but I can’t say that I buy it. Having taken a position on the need for a revolutionary transformation to a postcapitalist system I have to wonder if this is daydreaming and why McKibben has never challenged capitalism as such? None of the stats on global warming have shown any signs whatever in any year of improvement so a Green New Deal boom is to say the least still another wait five years case…

Of interest in any case. But the issue is capitalism as such
