The false battle of idealism and materialism

There is a lot of material here on psychology and a figure like Schopenhauer next to Kant shows a better approach to psychology than the impoverished views of psychologists or Marxists. Some will balk at Schopenhauer, but swamp left by Hegel he can be helpful. The futile debate over idealism and materialism simply misses the point and is a feature of the generation of Hegel. The perception or confusion over idealism and reactionary politics was misleading and in the reaction to the politics of Hegel created a misfire. The extravagance of the Hegelian perspective created an over-reaction. The battle of materialism and idealism is a complete misunderstanding and the janus-faced braiding of the two is an unavoidable given confused by a false dualism.
