The DSA despite its limitations is a step closer to a new kind of left that has moved beyond marxism. The legacy of marxism is stalling theleft which needs to move on but move on in a way that is not some kind of dismal compromise.
In fact, there is no platform for the left at this point.
We have tried to point to a way forward:
make Marx/Egels figures in a sort of ‘heroic saga’ but insist on starting over. We suggested foundational neo-communism as expropriation but beyond that a hybrid neo-communism that is liberalism remorphed as communism.
The classic marxist stance failed because it could not provide a new system and ended up with ad hoc stalinism.
This is a long discussion. But turning DSA into another marxist cliche club is useless.
