BLM provokes an insoluble problem short of revolution

BLM has to be one of the most remarkable versions of a protest movement but its effect at the present moment is ‘reverse backfiring’: it points to a nearly insoluble social situation in the context of still other social disasters on the way. The problem here is that the centre of gravity of the movement will teeter between conservatism and radicalism. That said, some simple reforms, if ever realized, could make life under capitalism as tolerable or not as it is with the rest of the population. But the movement is outstripping itself and at that point some fairly angry socialists are going to enter the scene with their own ‘protests’.
