We commented on this before and challenged, even as we supported its project, the idea of non-violence action. These groups put it to the test, assuming we have time for more tests, can non-violent civil disobedience make a dent in the capitalist juggernaut which has appropriated the power to brainwash the majority.
There was no option of non-violence with hitler, what are the options now? I can’t answer, but I doubt non-violence is equal to the extreme danger we face. The difference is that governments were able to fight hitler but can’t handle climate change. That leaves the issue to a curious endgame.
Anything else would be denounced as terrorism. But it doesn’t follow that groups like these can’t do something or force politics to a tipping point.
But we have had gandhians all the way through the neo-liberal ascendance. Who isn’t sick of them. We are dead already, more protest marches and placards are losing their admiration coefficients.
